I just made on Friday a low alcohol IPA-style beer for my wife who will soon deliver our third child. Her tolerance has never been that great, and that will only be decreased by another nine-month dry spell for her. So she could never handle more than a few ounces of my 9.2% IIPA. Considering this, I made a 1.030 IPA-style beer for her. I call it IPA-style, because people seem to reject the notion of a 3% IPA ("IPA by definition is high alcohol...blah blah blah...journey to India...blah blah blah" ). Fully understanding the style guidelines, I still want a big hoppy tasting beer, just with a low alcohol. What's the crime in that?
Anyway, here's the label I came up with. The icon is the International Breastfeeding Symbol. The beer is still fermenting, but the wort was really bitter and not that sweet. Can't wait to taste the finished product.
