This beer was meant to be savored. The aroma gives a high malty smell with a hint of deep fruit; Ryan said Rhubarb, but Ryan smokes crack. This beer is creamy on the palate and powerful to the taste. The taste is so extreme that it caused NastyNate to exclaim... "Damn, I love a nice, warm mouthful of this!"... leaving Steve, Ryan and I to harmoniously note "That's what she said."

Although not sampled with a dessert, I think it would pair excellently.

This was first beer from Brewery Ommegang. It lived up to the reviews I've seen in beeradvocate and the ones from Ommegang's website. I can't wait to try more of what Ommegang has to offer.

Entices the palate. Overall good taste; gateway beer for someone who wants to get away from the mainstream. It lives up to what we've come to expect from Samuel Adams. Uniqueness!

Ryan nailed it. Great review. As Ryan mentioned Guinness has their shit together. Let's think about it, what other country is so inspired by their "home brew" besides Ireland? I doubt if you were in Australia and said "I'll have a pint", they would instinctively know to bring you a Foster's. God only knows what they would bring you in the U.S.?

Guinness. Brilliant!
