This is a great beer you could drink all night. The appearance is of a beautiful red ale with a thin white head. It's crystal clear showing the gentle carbonation of bubbles rising to the surface. The aroma is typical of a lager providing a small amount of hoppiness with each smell. This beer is very smooth from beginning to end leaving a lingering flavor on the back of the tongue. Starting hoppy and finishing slightly bitter, Old Scratch is very well balanced throughout the tasting experience. There is almost a drying effect in your mouth that makes you crave another sip. We also found a hint of something else, possibly grape.

A very good lager from our neighbors south of the border. I would drink this almost every friday with my wings at Mad Mex and it seemed like the perfect beer for the occasion. Good flavor while finishing smooth. Nice color with its slight amber hue.

Makes me want to speak with an Irish accent when I drink it, and I promise it's not a good rendition. I'm a big fan of the amber ales and Smithwick's answers the call. Has great flavor while still finishing smooth. Small amount of head provides nice aroma while not overpowering. Next thing I know, I'm ordering another.

I've had Red Stripe numerous times and it has yet to dissappoint. From the one-of-a-kind "short" bottles giving it a one-up on appearance, to its smooth lager taste, Red Stripe should be far from the bottom on your list of favorites.

Have to mostly agree with you on this one Steve, this pale ale is very well balanced from beginning to end. Aroma and flavor are knock-outs, creating an enjoyable drinking experience.
