Randy Theil knows how to get it done. I've waited a long time to try this one, but tonight the wait was over. I was expecting something totally different; stronger, more out there. What I got was a very drinkable beer. Suits the style perfectly. Ommegang could have went over the top and I probably would have still enjoyed it, but their simplicity surprised me.

I first noticed a light, fruity aroma. A hint of pear, or apple was apparent. The fruitiness became more noticable with the first taste. A tangy aftertaste on the back of tounge with a suprising light and crisp finish. This is a very drinkable beer.

This was first beer from Brewery Ommegang. It lived up to the reviews I've seen in beeradvocate and the ones from Ommegang's website. I can't wait to try more of what Ommegang has to offer.
