Have you ever been camping? Have you ever been camping and have seen a flying dog like creature terrorize your campsite? Yes...well you must be George Stranahan and Richard McIntyre. These two individuals took this unique experience and matured it into a brewery capable of producing over 50,000 barrels of beer a year. Just one look at any one of Flying Dog's beer labels, website, pictures, beer names, etc...it is evident this brewery has found their niche in being individuals, and producing great tasting beer as well. Flying Dog labels their beers with the abstract artwork of Ralph Steadman. Steadman's style appeals and relates the brewers and there beers and Co-Founder, George Stranahan states, ""Art is our first language and we like and agree with what Ralph Steadman chooses to say through his art on our labels; that this is a wonderful world on a wacky path." taken from www.flyindogales.com. Flying Dog "Doggie Style" Classic Pale Ale is no different from any other flying dog brew with it's unique beer label which leaves you wondering exactly what kind of taste you may find inside. When you take the fist sip you find it is exactly what the name entails, a great American styled Pale Ale which more than delivers to the taste you would expect. Doggie Style yields a color slightly lighter than the sister beer Old Scratch, but still has an extremely amber hue. The beer's aroma only welcomes you for an intense roller coaster of hop flavor which is intense and mellow at the same time. All around this is a great brew which should be sampled by all American Styled Pale Ale Lovers. Flying Dog also has a great website which among many things has apparel, glassware, posters, and much more. At first look at the site it is also evident that this brewery is very passionate about the outdoors, food, beer and most of all fun. Next time you see a motor home at the bottom of a snow covered mountain, stop by..you may be lucky enough to catch a pint of a great tasting beer, but you are certain to meet some fun, interesting people. For the beer consumer/ home brewer, they have a great breakdown each beer and provide the profile to the taste of each of their crafted beers. I would like to recommend anyone and everyone to check it out, find a style of beer you like, and give it a shot. User reviews There are no user reviews for this item.
