Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads”

Small but dense beige-brown head over hazy, opaque reddish beer. It had an appearance just like you would think it should for a Scottish Style Ale. Has a sweet, maltsyrup, but with touches of both hops and lots of alcohol. Laced with hops and maybe raisins. Hopped & roasted... A bit syrupy but yet well bodied.

Again... syrupy a little thinner. Alcohol is very obvious. Has a dry palate that has a alcoholic finishing feel with a very long duration. This is not one of my favorite brews...but maybe this type of beer is just not for me. The overwhelming of the alcohol is a big turn off for me. I will definally compair this to others in its category as my drinking gets more experienced and maybe I will re-review this brew later in my life.

Maybe I am just a "wee lad".
