In 1897, German immigrant and brewer Wilhelm Hasse created "Siglo XX" meaning "20th Century" in Spanish to celebrate the start of the new century.  The two X's were placed on the bottle since Spanish uses Roman Numerals for centuries along with the face of Moctezuma (Montezuma), an Aztec ruler from the 16th-century.  This Vienna-style amber lager is found in brown bottles and drafts all over the U.S.  Add a slice of lime (if you don't have a problem fruiting your beer) and this lager will make you feel like you're lounging on your favorite beach.
